TEACHER BENEVOLENT FUND
Matete Teachers have made a decision to give birth to a new benevolent fund child. Upon its formation, delegates were selected from each school both in Matete Subcounty as well as diaspora.
Matete has more than 50 schools meaning, more than 50 delegates formed the brand. The delegates grouped into clusters elected their leader. These cluster leaders were subjected to elections.
Out of the delegates, officials were elected by the electorate. The officials included Chairman, Secretary, Transport Officer, and Welfare Officer to form zonal office. These zones divided into three including East, West and Dispora produced the executive office. Under the guidance of Mr Imbiakha a.k.a Ustaadh as the returning officer, over 240 voters cast their online vote for the executive officers.
Our first and crucial job was to stand with our own Madam who had lost her father. We came in numbers.
